Senior Service Portfolio Manager

Our client a leading software development and data architecture company, passionate about innovation and delivering outstanding solutions to their clients, are seeking a Senior Service Portfolio Manager.

As a Senior Service Portfolio Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our service offerings. With your expertise and vision, you’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone with senior experience in IT specific functions which would include end-user, PC, Mac, services, hardware, meeting rooms etc. Proven Customer service is critical, user support management (ITSM), SLA implementation, proven track record implementing technology solutions etc. As well as a proven track record of managing other managers within this space.

Requirements:

  • Strategic experience of leading the entire function – the ideal person should have had senior leadership experience, managed managers, operated at the senior leadership level – in the context of reset requirements/ expectations.
  • Needs to strengthen our SLT. 
  • Will define and drive the aligned company-wide IT function – Technology, Tools, governance, progress, automaton and AI etc. with a global/strategic/commercial mindset.
  • From an SLT perspective – Drive alignment and contribute to the development and execution of the Organisational strategy.
  • Commercial mindset and experience are a must in our current environment and critical to our 5-year plan, for example: Portfolio demand, planning, execution, forecasting future resource capacity and cost, infrastructure, license costs etc. Existing resource allocation and utilization, operations and Project Costing, drive a continual service improvement plan.
  • Business acumen: Deep understanding of the organization’s overall business strategy and goals to align IT initiatives with business objectives.
  • Financial management: Skilled in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization, to ensure IT investments are aligned with business priorities and deliver a strong ROI.
  • Vendor management: Strong vendor management skills, including negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Change management: Skilled in change management, including implementing new technology solutions and managing the impact on people, processes, and systems.
  • Talent management: Skilled in talent management, including recruiting and developing a high-performing IT team, providing career development opportunities, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Data management and analysis: Skilled in data management and analysis, including collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to make informed business decisions.
  • Compliance and security: Deep understanding of compliance and security requirements and ensure that the organization’s IT systems and processes meet these standards.
  • Portfolio Reporting with appropriate KPI’s.
  • Collaboration and teamwork: Skilled in collaboration and teamwork, including building relationships with other departments and stakeholders to deliver successful IT projects and initiatives.
